The Circle Sessions: The Music of Carthay Circle

maxresdefaultIn my most recent trip to Disneyland I was lucky enough to have dinner at Carthay Circle.

Carthay Circle is restaurant that takes its design from the Carthay Circle Theater where Snow White and the Seven Dwarves premiered. It has a grand old Hollywood feel to it; from the lights on the walls, the piano music in the background and the drinks they serve.16953_image1bThe food and the service was fantastic and I highly recommend you to try it. It’s good to book 3 months in advance or as soon as you can.

The truly great part (like everything else in Disneyland) isn’t the big attraction but the little details. Halfway through dinner I noticed the piano music was playing a Disney song and then I realized every song was a Disney song it wasn’t just piano music.

I was hooked right away.We started to play a game trying to guess what song it was. Some were very easy but others could be pretty tricky. We loved it so much we asked the waiter if they sold a CD… I know, it was the first CD I’ve bought since the Frozen sound track came out. Luckily they did sell the CD. At first I was shocked, but then realized where I was. You also can pick it up on iTunes and I really think you should!

Since then we play it in the car all the time. It’s just nice soft music that can be played in the background and the boys love it. Next time we have a dinner party we will play it and see if it takes our hosting to a whole new (world) level. Do you know of any secret albums we should listen to? If so comment or tweet at me @dalewentland or @thedcast. Ta Ta For Now!
